From the pyramids of Egypt to the bazaars of Turkey comes this ancient form of dancing. The Habibi Dancers are a mesmerising belly-dancing troupe that wow their audiences with their graceful, magical and hypnotic performances. Their amazing costumes compliment their ability to glide across the stage, leaving all who see them wanting more.
Teacher and choreographer Ann Sandbrook has a genuine talent in her teaching ability, and finely constructed unique style of choreography, she can interpret the music from Middle Eastern, classical or pop in to a fantastic dance fusion. Ann has been dancing for many years and has a vast knowledge of belly dancing traditions as she has travelled the globe to be taught by some of the world's greatest belly dancers. Ann's teaching methods make dancing a joy, her patience and ability to break down her dances into funny little sequences leave her students clutching their sides with laughter.
Ann has been invited onto Roy Noble's radio show, BBC radio and radio Cymru. A programme of her success was shown on BBC 2's "I love Wales". Ann also choreographs 'A Chance to Dance' show, with a cast reaching up to 90 dancers. Many of Ann's former students are now running their own classes throughout South Wales and still use Ann's choreography in their classes and performances.
Ann has a troupe of dancers called the Habibi Diva's, these girls are the performance troupe who have trained under Ann to become top class dancers. They perform in weddings, birthday parties, themed parties and other various events around the country. They also do a lot of work for charity, raising thousands of pounds for different causes.
